Dr. Alicia Kim

Dr. Alicia Kim, O.D. is a residency-trained optometrist and a Northern Virginia native with extensive expertise in managing glaucoma, dry eyes, ocular disease, and emergency eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Virginia Tech and her doctorate from the State University of New York College of Optometry. She has completed her rotations at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Upon graduation, she received the Dr. M. Cohen Memorial Award for volunteer commitment to community service. She has organized and

participated in numerous medical mission trips worldwide, including to Madagascar, demonstrating a passion for providing sustainable eye care to

developing communities.

 

Dr. Kim completed her residency program in primary care with emphasis on ocular disease at Salus university, where she also served as an attending for optometry students. She has lectured in multiple continuing education courses and has been published in the Review of Optometry magazine. Over the course of her career, she established and managed a myopia control clinic in Northern Virginia and received extensive training and experience working at a glaucoma surgery clinic, focusing on advanced-stage patient care.  She is committed to providing quality eye care and building personal relationships with her patients and their families.
